Dorado Beach has a full calendar from mid-October through New Year's Eve. There's a Halloween costume social for dogs, a one-night takeover by a New York cocktail bar, a pumpkin patch with horseback riding, and a golf-cart parade led by Santa. A Dorado Beach East address gets you inside the resort gate. It doesn't get you into most of these events. Each listing carries a short access line, and that line decides whether a given homeowner can register.
Below is the season sorted by who can attend, narrowest access first. Read it in that order and you'll see that the most open events of the season are in Dorado town, a short drive from the gate.
Two phrases decide most of the club calendar
The club events calendar at doradobeach.com uses two access phrases. Harvest Fest is marked "exclusive for Club Members." Most other events say "exclusive for Members and Resort Guests," adding that "guests of members must be accompanied by a member at all times."
Being a member and owning a home in Dorado Beach East are two separate things. The resort's own Dorado Beach East page lists a neighborhood clubhouse with a pool, tennis courts, and Livingston Park as the community's amenities. On a separate page, the club says Dorado Beach Resort "offers several membership programs" and sends anyone interested to its membership office at 787-626-1030. We found no official source saying a home purchase includes membership, and the club's public page doesn't name its membership tiers. Your home's documents are where to confirm what your property includes.

The calendar page has no publish date, so the year comes from the season it describes. Watch for changes between now and each event.
Harvest Fest is the most restricted event of the season
Harvest Fest is the only October event on the club calendar marked for club members alone. It runs October 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at La Finca, with a pumpkin patch, a magic show, horseback riding, live music, and food. Children are invited to come in costume. Adult tickets are $60 and child tickets are $45, and children under 3 are free. Registration is required, spaces are limited, and a 48-hour cancellation policy applies.
The Juniors Club Championship on October 17 is also members only, with one difference. The listing says guests may accompany members but aren't eligible to compete. All flights play the East Course, registration opens at 8 a.m., and tee times run from 9 to 11 a.m. Breakfast is served before play, with lunch and awards afterward. Parents may caddy, and players walk with push carts allowed. The Golf Shop at 787-626-1010 takes questions.
"Members and resort guests" covers most of October
The second tier covers most of the October calendar, and for a homeowner who isn't a member, it closes just as firmly. Under these rules, a guest of a member can attend only with the member present.
Music. The Velvet Note brings jazz from Fleur Seule to the Surf Room at 7:30 p.m. on October 16. The dress code is "Resort Evening," which means no shorts, flip-flops, beachwear, or athletic wear. An after-hours meet-and-greet with Allyson Briggs and Fleur Seule follows from 10 to 11 p.m. Jazz Nights at Su Casa follows on October 30 at 7 p.m., paired with what the club calls Carib-Asian food.
Dinners. Chef Mario Pagán hosts Mario & Friends at Su Casa on October 23 with guest chef Sebastian Rosado of LEVANT. Dinner is $240 per person, or $280 with a wine pairing. Su Casa's Tomahawk & Whisky pairing is $149 per person and runs all month, Wednesday through Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.
Family nights. The Glow Pickleball Tournament on October 17 runs kids' open play for ages 6 to 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. and adult open play from 8 to 10 p.m. On October 30, the Howl-O-Ween Social at Sports Hub starts at 5 p.m. and welcomes costumed dogs.
The December listings are still short. The Great Christmas Caravan on December 4 includes a golf-cart parade and a Santa meet-and-greet. The Members' Christmas Party falls on December 10 and the New Year's Eve Celebration on December 31. All three say "more details coming soon." The party's name suggests who it's for. The access rules for the other two haven't been posted yet.
COA's November events book through the Ritz-Carlton
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve side of the resort has two November events that book through the hotel's own reservation links, and neither listing states an access restriction.
Double Chicken Please, the award-winning New York cocktail bar, takes over COA Bar & Lounge on November 13 from 6 p.m. to midnight. The hotel calls it "the final bar takeover of the year." The team is known for cocktails built on familiar food flavors. On Thanksgiving, November 26, COA Restaurant serves a family-style prix fixe from 3 to 9 p.m.
The Reserve's dining page has "Book a Table" links for COA, Posi+ivo Sand Bar, and COA Lounge. COA also takes bookings on OpenTable. Neither page says how a diner who isn't a hotel guest or a club member is handled at check-in. Before the Thanksgiving table is set, a call to COA at the number on the dining page will confirm how they'll arrive.
The most open events of the season are in Dorado town
Festival Color Caribe's sixth edition comes to Parque Agroturístico El Dorado November 27 through 29, with each day starting at 3 p.m. The event page on Ticketera promises more than 20 local and international rock, indie, reggae, and alternative artists. Local and international artists turn giant wagons around the park into canvases.
| Day | Headliners |
|---|---|
| Friday, Nov. 27 | Julieta Venegas, Bandalos Chinos, Silvestre y La Naranja |
| Saturday, Nov. 28 | Jarabe de Palo ft. Pedro Capó, ILE, Circo |
| Sunday, Nov. 29 | Gondwana & Quique Neira, Monsieur Periné, Bebo Dumont |
The festival's official site lists general admission at $51 and VIP at $81 in the price phase that starts November 1. Ticketera sells day tickets and a three-day package. All sales are final. Coolers, outside food and drink, and drones aren't allowed, and chairs aren't allowed in the VIP area.
A week earlier comes the town's biggest tradition. The Municipality of Dorado's tourism page describes the Festival de la Puertorriqueñidad as the official lead-in to the Encendido de la Navidad in Dorado's town center. The celebration usually falls between November 19 and 22, the dates that mark the arrival of Christopher Columbus in Puerto Rico in 1493 and the founding of Dorado on November 22, 1842. The 2026 date hadn't been announced at the time of writing. Last year, on November 21, 2025, the lighting began at 6 p.m. in the Plaza Pública with the Desfile de la Puertorriqueñidad and a Christmas market. José Nogueras, Familia Sanabria, and La Sonora Ponceña performed, according to Primera Hora's weekend roundup.
Inside the gate, membership doesn't come up
One more tier is closer to home than any of these. Dorado Beach East's own amenities are the community clubhouse with its pool, the tennis courts, and Livingston Park. The resort describes Livingston Park as an aviation-themed family park built on a historic airstrip, with a basketball court, barbecue areas, and a custom water park. None of these appear on the club calendar, and the resort lists them as amenities for the community's residents.
Before signing up for anything this season, three checks will sort most of it out:
- Read the access line on the listing. "Club Members" and "Members and Resort Guests" are the two rules that come up most.
- Check your membership status with the club's membership office at 787-626-1030, along with what your home's documents say.
- For COA bookings, call ahead to confirm how a diner who isn't a hotel guest or member checks in on the night.
